You were innocent and flying high when he first became
enthralled by your purity, unattainable beauty.
He sought to have just a little of all that you called yours,
He reached out so as to hold you, touched your delicate wings,
And in doing so his greed tainted you beyond repair.
Eager he was to watch you, disappointed when you fell,
Frustrated when he could not repair your damaged wings.
Your naivety made you vulnerable, an invitation to protect you,
And still he tried to heal you with his bumbling wounding hands.
He wished he had not the selfish desire to hold you till the end of time.
But he saw you ailing, saw you pining, realised you were slowly dying.
You needed to fly once more, so he made up his mind to set you free,
Pushed you out his window, in naïve hope that you would soar.
But you didn’t fly away, my pretty wounded butterfly,
You fell down, your wings burning away.
You tried so hard to soar, but had been forced to forget how,
When your innocence was tainted with poisoned love.
I still hear your pitched scream echo in my ears…
enthralled by your purity, unattainable beauty.

Fairy Tale
Close your eyes
Indulge a mad woman
Picture the world
As a fairy tale
Forget all that is outside
Focus
Focus on a little village
A small kingdom
What can you see?
Which story will you tell?
There are so many
And at the same time so few
Is there a wolf?
A princess?
A lesson to be learned?
Do you see what I wish to say?
Who is the cast
In this fairy tale play?
Who is the villain?
Someone with no redeeming qualities
Evil through and through
Who is the hero?
Someone who does things perfectly
Who is noble and wonderful
And can do no wrong
Now
Indulge me
Pity the wolf
Pity the witch
Pity the king
For the fairy tales t

Fairies
Wings of glitter,
Weighing them down while struggling to fly.
Hearts of gold,
Always putting others before themselves.
Flying fast,
Putting the dark, shadowed past behind them.
Hiding behind a mask,
Not daring to show the sins of past.
Secrets,
Eating away at their souls,
Their conscience scolding,
Their life, once conceived.
Eating their very beings,
Looking into a mirror is a fright,
For what they see,
Is nothing more....
Than an ugly thing,
Innocence taken before lies are given.
Looking up at the light,
Then fluttering down to their darkest self hatred.
For they are the true reflection of evil,
Masked behind innocence

Fairytale Mythology
my words are magic beans that grow into a stalk
so, follow where I lead, let's take a little walk
past wolves that ain't nothing but huff & puff
you're running with the big dogs now & I just called your bluff
my house is made of stone, while you're wearing grandma's clothes
I mastered poetry and reinvented prose
with flows that topple foes and rescue damsels in distress
my cupboard's never bare, my porridge passes every test
impressed? distressed? afraid you've met your match?
I burn quick like candlesticks; too nimble for you to catch
so sing, "hey diddle diddle, this cat don't play no fiddle
but he still make music so sweet
that
